Tis the season of the harvest...red corn, peppers, calendula, tomatoes, Persian Carpet Zinnias (Zinnia haageana), grapes grace my table. We often ask: what is art? Is it only a human thing? I say nature is one of the greatest artists. Just look at a daisy: the incredible composite of flowers in a head, creating what we call a marigold, or sunflower, or lettuce. Yes, lettuce is a daisy!
